COMMON QUESTIONS

A conventional split AC has a fixed-capacity compressor that runs at 100% or switches off completely. VRF uses an inverter-driven variable-speed compressor that modulates from 10–100%, matching output precisely to demand. This means no temperature swings, much lower energy consumption, and far longer compressor life.
 
Modern VRF outdoor units can serve between 2 and 64 indoor units, depending on the manufacturer and model. For larger buildings, multiple outdoor units are connected in a combined system serving up to 1,000+ zones.
 
 
A 2-pipe system operates in either all-heating or all-cooling mode at any given time. A 3-pipe heat recovery system has a third pipe (hot gas) that allows some zones to heat while others cool simultaneously, recovering waste heat — significantly more energy efficient in buildings with mixed heating and cooling loads.
 
 
Quarterly filter cleaning of indoor units, annual refrigerant pressure and charge check, condenser coil and fan inspection, drain pan cleaning, and electrical connection check. We recommend a full annual service contract to keep the warranty valid.
 
 
Yes. All major VRF brands support BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols. We handle full BMS programming as part of our commissioning scope.
